Our Approach
Generally our clients are not aware of the possibilities that are out there that can bring significant financial value and security to the life of the developmentally or physically challenged individual. As well, navigating through the challenging application processes and eligibility criteria are frustrating at best. Our mandate is to guide our clients successfully through these processes and bring together knowledgeable wealth strategies that best support the disabled individual.
We always start with a discovery meeting. We do ask lots of questions. We, of necessity, get to know you, the caregiver and the disabled dependant. We explore the family goals for your disabled dependant’s quality of life very personally and confidentially. We take the time to gain your confidence, trust and understanding that we will go above and beyond to address your specific, personal needs.
We are generally confident that we can bring value to the caregivers and the special needs dependant. We analyze what we learn and then, using our expertise in financial and risk strategies that apply to the disabled, we present recommendations, in a formal written report called the “Transitions Life Plan”. This Plan details the steps required through every transition in the caregiver’s and disabled dependant’s life to ensure that the financial resources will be there and secure to support the quality of life goals for the special needs dependant.
We then proceed with implementation of the “Transitions Life Plan”. As important to us as implementing the strategies, is taking the time to educate and guide our Caregiver clients so that they are comfortable and knowledgeable about every step taken.
No plan is ever static. It is not a one time event. The variables of life continue to change. Ongoing monitoring must take place to continually “tweak” the strategies and implement new plans as required by changing circumstances. Formal updates are regularly conducted semi-annually.
We walk with you every step of the way.
