ODSP Preservation

Many of our "Transitions Life Plans" are first based upon maintaining the dependant's eligibility for ODSP benefits. Maintenance of the ongoing income support and medical prescription and dental care are often crucial now and in the future.

Simultaneously, other financial assets must be provided in your plan as ODSP funding really only provides for the barest of necessities. Unfortunately, if the provision of these other assets, to support your loved one, is not structured strategically, it will destroy your dependant's eligibility for the continuing ODSP benefits.

It tugs at our heart’s when we hear of situations, such as grandparents generously leaving money in their wills to support your special needs child, that in turn create a nightmare as they unintentionally disqualify your child from their needed ODSP benefits.
